About Me

My name is Marilyn Olson. I live at 48 degrees north in the state of Montana.  I have been married to the most wonderful man on earth for sixteen years and have three beautiful children. My oldest is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps and the two youngest are in high school. I hold a degree in Human Services and I am passionate about helping others. I don't think one can put a price tag on that. I have so many interests that it would be difficult to stay in a twenty year career doing the same thing over and over, especially here in Montana where there is so much to do and see.  But I wouldn't trade it for anything. I believe that my purpose in life is to share what I know with others in an effort to enrich their lives in one way or another. 

48 Degrees North is about my passion for sharing ideas and information about a variety of topics; random things that come to mind, sustainable living, frugality, and self sufficiency to name a few.  It's a reflection of things I have personally experienced and/or learned throughout my life and an effort to inspire, educate and inform others.  I am also the Marketing Director for Alternatives-Magazine and will soon begin writing for the Sheridan County Online for Sheridan County Montana where you see some of these posts as well as others.
